Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Master Carpenter to join our team as a Theatre Set Construction Specialist. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in traditional construction techniques and be proficient in working with a variety of materials, including wood and metal.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a range of projects, from theatre productions to film and television sets. You will be responsible for planning and building sets, collaborating with designers and directors to bring their visions to life.

The successful candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and be able to meet tight deadlines.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in scenic construction
  • Strong knowledge of traditional construction techniques
  • Ability to work with a variety of materials, including wood and metal
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience. This is a full-time position based at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.
