About the Role

Operations Engineer

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of technical knowledge and expertise in the operation and maintenance of power generation systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and control the operation of power generation systems on a 24/7 basis, ensuring safe and reliable operation.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and optimize system performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance system efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members and external stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Sound practical engineering and technical knowledge, including experience with power generation systems and control systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including shift work and on-call rotations.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as a degree in engineering or a related field, and a health and safety qualification (NEBOSH or equivalent).
