About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Internal Communications Specialist to join our Design, Digital and Internal Communications team. This is a remote role, working 37.5 hours a week, with the possibility of part-time consideration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and update VS internal communication channels to ensure internal stakeholders are informed of organisation news, successes and strategy.
  • Produce and edit copy adhering to brand and style guidelines for email communications and intranet articles.
  • Develop and implement an engaging programme of webinars to update staff on new initiatives, training programmes and other key engagement activities.
  • Collaborate with staff across the organisation to ensure self-generated content meets high standards, adheres to brand and style guidelines and is clear, concise and engaging.
  • Provide advice on complex communication messages and contribute to the wider communication team response in major incident or crisis situations.
Requirements
  • Significant experience of managing multi-channel internal communications, including intranet management.
  • Proven ability to write concise, well-written and engaging communications.
  • Experience of reporting on key internal communication metrics.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to liaise effectively at all levels.
  • Strong personal integrity, reliability under pressure and team ethos.
  • Commitment to Equality and Diversity, with the ability to influence people to achieve effective desired outcomes.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Proficiency in English language.
