Job Overview

Crooton is seeking a dedicated Care Worker to provide essential support to unpaid carers in the Greater Norwich area. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care services that make a real difference in people's lives.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong IT abilities, and the capacity to work independently and collaboratively as part of a supportive team.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive hourly rate of £12.15 per hour, plus mileage and travel time payments. Our comprehensive benefits package includes flexible contracts, generous leave, wellbeing support, and opportunities for development and growth.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide interim support to unpaid carers, giving them the necessary breaks to rest and recharge.
  • Offer care support in the home and community, working closely with our homecare team to assess needs, plan care, and deliver compassionate service.
Requirements
  • Experience in person-centered care, ideally in a domiciliary or homecare setting.
  • Strong communication and IT skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Knowledge of legislative care standards and the ability to work to high compliance.
  • Qualifications in Health and Social Care (NVQ Level 2 or 3) are preferred but not essential.
  • A genuine commitment to improving the lives of carers and those they support.
  • Must be able to drive and have own vehicle, willing to travel up to a 1-hour radius when required.
