NDT Welding Inspector

Job Summary:
VGS Recruitment Services is seeking an experienced Welding Inspector to join our team. As a Welding Inspector, you will be responsible for providing independent inspection and quality control services relating to equipment in manufacture, fabrication, and construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct site-based inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Provide detailed reports following inspections and quality control activities.
- Review fabrication and manufacturing documentation to ensure adherence to quality plans and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of industry codes, standards, and regulations.
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of experience as a Welding Engineer or Inspector, with 5 years of experience in equipment inspections (NDT and material control).
- SC clearance or eligibility for SC clearance (must have been residing and working in the UK for the last 5 years).
- C&G Cert or HNC/BTEC in an Engineering discipline.
- PCN Liquid Penetrant Inspection Level II certification.
- Strong understanding of Materials, Welding, and NDE techniques.
- Good working knowledge of UK requirements for Inspection in high-hazard industries or COMAH sites.
- Ability to work successfully in a team, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
What We Offer:
- A competitive hourly rate of £38.50 (outside IR35 and following SC clearance).
- A site-based role with a average 45-55 hour working week.
- Travel time paid up to 5 hours per week.
- Overtime rates.
- Overnight accommodation allowance.
- A long-term contract work (minimum 12 months and rolling).
