The Global Mobility and Immigration team at Millennium Management is responsible for managing and maintaining all International Assignments, International Transfers, and Cross Border Compliance across the organization.

The Global Mobility and Immigration Specialist must be able to interpret and explain assignment programs/policies, immigration requirements for locations, cost estimates, effectively communicate and maintain good relationships with stakeholders, liaise with vendors, create and explain key analytics of Global Mobility and Immigration case activity.

Reporting to the Global Mobility & Immigration Manager, the Global Mobility and Immigration Specialist is responsible for individual mobility caseload management, including (not limited to): formulating the appropriate program and level of support in association with the HRBP's and Business Leads; required liaison with and coordination of vendors; conduct appropriate due diligence for the cross border proposal; production of cost projection estimates; communication of policy and package details to individuals going on assignment as well as to other stakeholders; coordination with immigration, tax advisors, and relocation companies.

The Global Mobility and Immigration Specialist will be part of supporting drive processes, infrastructure improvements as the function continues to grow. Must be able to work independently, apply sound judgements and be solution driven.

The Global Mobility and Immigration Specialist must be conversant with/possessing a good understanding of all international mobility disciplines including: immigration, tax, social security, contracts, and systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Application/execution of Global Mobility and Immigration policies, programs, and communications
  • Manage mobility cases start to finish
  • Review cost projection estimates
  • Provide technical guidance and due diligence to the business areas across Global Mobility and Immigration areas
  • Prioritization and timely execution/delivery of work
  • Forming and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and vendors
  • Ability to create presentations (PowerPoint) for use with stakeholders
  • Able to provide clear explanation and guidance to the business across the Global Mobility and Immigration policies
  • Create and maintain case progress reports and other analytics reporting
  • Coordination with external partners and vendors
  • Assist with supporting the Global Mobility and Immigration team the development of the Global Mobility and Immigration programs and infrastructure

Expectation of Role

  • Support in managing and coordinating day to day mobility aspects, including with our vendors.
  • Provide advisory support across the business on mobility matters, with the ability to adapt and tailor mobility solutions to the situation and needs of the business.
  • Identify challenges and roadblocks proactively, and effectively partner internally and with outside vendors as required, to support with providing innovative solutions to mobility issues
  • Assist in driving and developing a centre of excellence for Global Mobility and Immigration issues at Millennium.
  • Build relationships and work closely across the differing functions / areas of the business e.g. HR, Payroll, Tax, Finance and Legal, to provide solutions based approach fit for Millennium.
  • Provide day to day operational assistance to Millennium to resolve complex global mobility

Qualifications/Skills Required

  • University degree preferred though not essential
  • 4+ years of Global Mobility and Immigration experience, ideally with in-house experience in the financial services sector
  • Technically proficient in Global Mobility and Immigration disciplines, including experience with EMEA immigration, APAC immigration experience desirable.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail: accuracy, quality, and integrity
  • Analytical and able to problem solve
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to flex style and solutions based on needs.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with competing demands.
  • Team player, with excellent relationship skills to work collaboratively with different functions and across a geographically diverse organization.
