Job Title: Building Surveyor

We are seeking a highly skilled Building Surveyor to join our team at Ridge and Partners LLP in Birmingham.

The successful candidate will be part of a team of building surveyors covering all aspects of professional and project-related building surveying across various sectors, including educational, commercial, industrial, and more.

The role will involve delivering projects, commissions, and professional services, maintaining effective communication to ensure all information is available for successful project completion, and representing the company in a professional and diligent manner.

The ideal candidate will have good IT skills, including proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, AutoCAD, NBS, and other software. As a Building Surveyor at Ridge and Partners, you will have the opportunity to become a Chartered Building Surveyor, supported by the company's national Ridge APC support process and the local Building Surveying Team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver projects, commissions, and professional services
  • Maintain effective communication to ensure all information is available for successful project completion
  • Represent the company in a professional and diligent manner
  • Support the Building Surveying team on complex multi-disciplinary schemes
  • Help with analysing and reporting on building defects
  • Support the Building Surveyors with preparing schedules of dilapidations and negotiating settlements
  • Assist with the supervision of building work on site
  • Provide advice on the design, construction, maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of all types of property

Requirements:

  • Good IT skills, including proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, AutoCAD, NBS, and other software
  • Desire, drive, and enthusiasm to become a Chartered Building Surveyor
