About This Role
This position requires a highly skilled Senior Technical Engineer to join our Avionics & Flight Data team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing aircraft system updates, ground system software development, and operational support.
The ideal candidate will have experience in project management, organisation, prioritisation, problem-solving, analytical thinking, and technical decision-making.
They will also possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage aircraft system updates to improve data connectivity
- Develop ground system software to deliver insights to engineers
- Provide operational support as needed
- Assess international and UK regulations to identify opportunities for improvement
- Collaborate with IAG Opco's, Airframers, Regulators, Vendors, and other airlines
- Travel may be required for work purposes
Requirements
- HNC / HND or equivalent in an Aerospace Engineering or related subject (Essential)
- Recognised Aircraft Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent industry experience (Essential)
- Degree in an Aerospace Engineering subject (Desirable)
- EASA pt66 Licence (Desirable)
- Knowledge of safety and quality management systems (Essential)
