Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our team at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW). As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in providing safe and effective pharmacy support to our dispensary and adult wards.

Main Responsibilities
  • Dispense prescriptions for inpatients, outpatients, day patients, and patients waiting for discharge.
  • Perform duties concerned with the control of pharmaceutical stocks in the dispensary, ensuring that appropriate stock levels are maintained, expired stock is removed, and stock problems are resolved quickly and efficiently.
  • Act as an Accredited Checking Technician for final accuracy checks of dispensed medication as required to ensure safe and accurate dispensing within the BRI pharmacy dispensary.
  • Support the training and teaching of others, and provide a high-quality pharmacy service.
