Job Title: Asphalt Relief Plant Operator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Asphalt Relief Plant Operator to join our team at Tarmac Trading Limited. As a key member of our Asphalt manufacturing team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our Relief Plant, providing support to our Plant Supervisors, and working collaboratively with other team members to achieve our production targets.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Mixing Asphalt to our customers' specifications
  • Operating both Fixed and Mobile Plant on sites
  • Working with other members of the team to ensure that customers receive good quality material and on-time deliveries
  • Assisting the Supervisor with meeting daily/weekly production targets
  • Following SHE policies and procedures
  • Ensuring Plant conforms with safety requirements at all times
  • Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality responsibilities
  • Inspections on the plant and acting on defects and implementing remedial action
  • Ensuring that plant availability is maximised
  • Working to keep housekeeping around site to a high standard
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of Asphalt Plant operations
  • IT Literate
  • Good Timekeeping and Communication skills
  • Flexible as to the site requirements and bringing problems to the attention of Line Management
  • Previous experience in driving/operating mobile plant - highly desirable
  • Good Timekeeping
  • Flexible as to the sites manufacturing requirements
  • Good Communication skills
  • Bringing problems to the attention of Line Management
  • ESSENTIAL - Full UK manual car Driving Licence with no more than 6 penalty points
