About this Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Fund Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will have a diverse knowledge of accounting and reporting, as well as strong general ledger skills, analytical and interpersonal skills, and full cycle accounting experience. The Fund Accountant will provide general accounting functions from data entry through general ledger close and reconciliation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily accounting of assigned series funds
  • Perform month-end reconciliations and bank account closings as needed
  • Prepare fund analysis and reporting for critical decision-making purposes
  • Collaborate with outside tax consultants on annual K-1 tax activities
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance daily activity execution and financial performance
  • Assist in generating routine and ad-hoc financial statements for management review
  • Respond to inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Resolve accounting variances and discrepancies
  • Interface with investor relations, investment team, legal, corporate accounting, and executive management on fund-related topics
  • Gather relevant investment documentation
  • Develop a working knowledge of investment capital structures to assist in recording portfolio company valuation updates
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or business management
  • Two to four years of accounting experience
  • Intermediate accounting skills, strong analytical skills, and excellent computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Ability to work in a team environment and willingness to train in all areas of accounting
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal staff and external entities and service providers
What We Offer
