**Job Title:** Senior Radiology Specialist - Breast Imaging
**Job Summary:** We are seeking an experienced Senior Radiology Specialist in Breast Imaging to join our team at Whittington Health NHS Trust. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radiology, with expertise in breast imaging and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.
**About the Role:** As a Senior Radiology Specialist in Breast Imaging, you will be responsible for interpreting mammography and ultrasound images, conducting clinical assessments, and providing diagnoses to patients. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care and treatment plans.
**Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret mammography and ultrasound images to diagnose breast conditions
- Conduct thorough clinical assessments to determine the best course of action for patients
- Collaborate with surgeons, oncologists, and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans
- Communicate complex medical information to patients in a clear and concise manner
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in breast imaging and treatment options
**Requirements:
- Degree in Radiology or equivalent qualification
- Eligibility to register with the General Medical Council (GMC)
- Postgraduate qualifications in Breast Imaging (e.g., FRCR Part 1-2, European Board Exam)
- Proven experience in breast imaging, with a minimum of 3 years' experience as a consultant radiologist
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
**Salary:** £120,000 - £140,000 per annum (dependent on experience), plus benefits and a generous pension scheme.
