About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Oncologist to join our team at Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust. As a specialist in Breast and Colorectal tumours, you will play a key role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our oncology services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert clinical opinion and take full and independent responsibility for the clinical care of patients.
  • Run a radiotherapy and SACT service for major tumour sites, including Breast and Colorectal.
  • Contribute to the development of radiotherapy and/or SACT services, including immunotherapy.
  • Participate in cancer clinical trials and contribute to the development of new treatments.
  • Teach junior medical staff and professions allied to medicine, and participate in trust teaching programmes.
Requirements
  • Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists or equivalent qualifications.
  • Completion of higher specialist training in Clinical Oncology.
  • Entry onto the Specialist Register (or entry expected within 6 months of interview date).
  • Ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients.
  • Good communication skills.
