As a Nursing Officer with the Royal Air Force, you will be part of a team that provides high-quality patient care and leads teams in various clinical environments. Your role will involve contributing to the development and delivery of cutting-edge military medicine, adapting your practice to deliver nursing care in challenging environments, and working in a variety of clinical settings.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide primary and secondary healthcare services
- Lead teams in clinical environments
- Develop and deliver military medicine
- Adapt nursing care to challenging environments
- Completed BSc or Diploma in Nursing (Adult or Mental Health)
- Registered with the NMC with at least 2 years' post-registration experience
- GCSEs (English Language and Maths) or acceptable equivalents
- Aged 22-47 (must attest before 48th birthday)
- Citizen of the United Kingdom or the Republic of Ireland, holder of dual UK/other nationality, or Commonwealth citizen since birth
- Commit to minimum 6 years' service
You will receive basic and specialist training in your field, including the 12-week Specialist Officer Initial Training Course (SOITC) and ongoing specialist training. You will also have opportunities for career progression and professional development.
