Job Summary:

Nicholas Associates Group Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in the North East. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in controlling costs, managing projects, and ensuring the successful delivery of groundworks and civil engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Control: Develop and implement cost control strategies to ensure projects are delivered within budget and on time.
  • Project Management: Manage and coordinate groundworks and civil engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring all aspects of the project are delivered to the highest standard.
  • Commercial Management: Provide commercial advice to clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring all contractual obligations are met and commercial risks are mitigated.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of Quantity Surveyors and other support staff, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
  • Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor in the groundworks and civil engineering industry.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of contractual terms, commercial management, and project management principles.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Education: Relevant degree in a construction-related field or equivalent experience.
