The Role

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Transport Director to build and lead a transport service that facilitates a seamless movement of cars from sellers to dealers across the UK, Germany, and Spain. This role requires a strategic leader with a proven track record in the automotive industry and logistics, particularly in car movements, who has successfully built services from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and build the transport service, including appraisal and inspection process, selection of transport methods, routes, and partnerships with logistics providers.
  • Establish and manage relationships with transport companies, negotiating contracts and service levels to ensure reliability and cost efficiency.
  • Manage the transport budget and P&L, ensuring financial targets are met and resources are allocated effectively.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 10 years in the automotive industry and logistics, with a focus on car movements.
  • Proven experience in building and leading transport or logistics services from scratch, with the ability to take our offering from concept to reality.
  • Experience building and leveraging tech solutions, partnering with Product teams.
  • Deep understanding of the automotive markets in the UK, Germany, and Spain.
