We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Youth Worker to join our team at Empowering Learning. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the development of children and young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs, promoting their emotional well-being and academic success.
- Develop and implement individualized strategies to manage behaviour and support emotional regulation, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
- Collaborate with class teachers to plan and deliver tailored interventions, adapting resources to meet the unique needs of students.
- Monitor and record students' progress, providing feedback to teachers and the SENCO.
Requirements:
- Some experience working with special needs children is preferred but not essential.
- A passion for creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
