Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Youth Worker to join our team at Empowering Learning. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the development of children and young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs, promoting their emotional well-being and academic success.
  • Develop and implement individualized strategies to manage behaviour and support emotional regulation, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Collaborate with class teachers to plan and deliver tailored interventions, adapting resources to meet the unique needs of students.
  • Monitor and record students' progress, providing feedback to teachers and the SENCO.

Requirements:

  • Some experience working with special needs children is preferred but not essential.
  • A passion for creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
