Job Title: Sales Engineer

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Sales Engineer to join our team at Engineering Recruitment PDQ. As a Sales Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting and developing distributor networks, working closely with OEMs in scientific instrumentation environments or complex engineered solutions.

Main Responsibilities:

• Handling sales enquiries from emails and phone calls to provide detailed technical responses and/or formal quotations.

• Developing and managing business relationships with assigned distributors/customers to identify specific business needs and provide product sales training.

• Establishing and maintaining relationships with key customers/distributors to create new sales opportunities and develop them into sales.

• Selecting and appointing new distributors for required markets to meet sales targets set by the Sales Manager.

• Collaborating with company resources to fulfill customer requirements and monitoring the progress of live enquiries.

• Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of the industry and products, and attending shows, exhibitions, and customer sites as required.

Requirements:

• Experience in selling scientific laboratory products.

• Background/knowledge of microscopy, spectroscopy, or other Analytical/Materials techniques would be advantageous.

• Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.

• Well-organised, self-disciplined, and result-oriented.
