Main Responsibilities

  • To develop, operate, and monitor contract programmes for work scope, ensuring control and execution within budget and duration.
  • To produce necessary programmes at appropriate times, reflecting overall contract requirements.
  • To monitor and update contract programmes through relevant discussions with parties.
  • To predict and communicate critical path deviations, enabling management to take corrective action.
  • To optimise the use of approved computer software packages to meet accountabilities.
  • To incorporate emergent works effectively into existing programmes.
  • To report progress against programme on a regular basis and record delays with associated reasoning.

Key Skills

  • Ability to produce feasible programmes of activities from given scope of work.
  • Communication skills to liaise with relevant parties to report accurate contract status.
  • Ability to anticipate and highlight critical programme areas for management action.
  • Fluency in Primavera P6 and Excel to provide prompt, accurate, and regular information.
  • Awareness of technical implications and interfaces to programme work effectively.
  • Awareness of impact of planning on safety, quality, and cost considerations.

Requirements

  • Relevant HNC/Degree qualification.
  • QCF Diploma Level 3/5 Planning.
  • APMP Practitioner.
  • Craft training, supported by relevant CPD training.

WIMS Requirements

  • Competency-Based Interview.
