About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Consultant Psychiatrist to lead our Learning Disability services in Liverpool. The successful candidate will have expertise in managing complex mental health cases and a strong track record of delivering high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities
  • To provide medical leadership to the team, ensuring excellent patient outcomes and high standards of care.
  • To conduct comprehensive risk assessments and participate in trust-wide risk management processes.
  • To work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver effective care plans and support patients in achieving their goals.
  • To maintain effective communication with other healthcare professionals, stakeholders, and service users to ensure seamless care pathways.
Requirements
  • MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
  • Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research, or management.
  • Approved clinician status under the Mental Health Act 1983 (amended 2007).
  • Able to manage complex clinical situations and uncertainty.
  • Able to meet duties under the Mental Capacity Act 2005.

Salary: £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
