Are you looking for a dynamic and rewarding SEN Teaching Assistant role in a supportive Primary School?

Teaching Personnel is working closely with a Primary School in Thornton, Lancashire, who are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. The role is based at the school's KS1 department and will involve supporting children with identified SEN on a 1:1 and small group basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting children with special educational needs in a KS1 setting
  • Building strong relationships with children, parents, and school staff
  • Assisting with lesson planning and delivery to enhance engagement and learning
  • Providing individualized support to meet the needs of each child

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting learners with SEN, preferably Autism
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work closely with the school's SENDCo and SEN support team
  • Positive attitude, kindness, and a good sense of humour
