Professional Healthcare Triage Specialist

About Our Team
We are seeking a skilled Professional Healthcare Triage Specialist to join our team in Plymouth. As a key member of our 111-contact centre, you will handle calls from members of the public and learn to use our state-of-the-art triage tool, NHS Pathways, to assess patients over the phone and direct them to the most appropriate care.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- To work as part of a dedicated team handling calls from members of the public
- To use NHS Pathways to assess patients over the phone and direct them to the most appropriate care
- To deal with emotional, distressing or life-threatening scenarios and arrange for 999 services if required
What We Offer:
- An hourly rate £11.48 per hour during daytime and training hours (07:00-23:00)
- A contractual night rate of £14.27 per hour from 23:00-07:00
- A Red Zone weekend rate of £14.77 per hour (subject to T&Cs when working more than 26 hours a week)
- 33 days annual leave, including bank holidays

Training and Development:
- Full-Time training: Monday-Friday (9am-5pm) for 4 weeks
- Part-Time training: Tues, Weds, Thurs (6pm-10pm) and Sat-Sun (9am-5pm) for 6 weeks
Salary Range:
We estimate the salary for this role to be around £12,000 - £20,000 per annum, depending on the number of hours worked and the specific shift pattern.
