Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is currently recruiting for a Fettling Night Operative for our client based in the Medway Towns area. This is a full-time position for the successful candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

* Process parts in accordance with relevant technique cards and works instructions
* Fettle castings using compressed air-driven hand grinding tools
* Manual handling and moving boxes of castings around the factory

Additional Tasks:

* Linishing of castings using an upright linishing machine
* Etching of castings through the use of a compressed air-driven vibro-etching tool
* Shot blasting of castings using alumina grit
* Band saw operation

Health and Safety:

* Correct use of PPE at all times
* Knowledge of chemicals used as stipulated in the departments COSHH assessment and Material Safety Data Sheets
