Caring Together Charity is seeking a dedicated individual to join our Norfolk Befriending Service team as a volunteer. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a difference in the lives of unpaid carers and their families.

Job Description

As a volunteer, you will play a vital role in providing companionship and wellbeing support to unpaid carers who are experiencing isolation, loneliness, and exhaustion in their caring role. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Offering regular companionship and wellbeing support for the carer at home
  • Engaging in activities such as having a cup of tea and a chat, playing board games together, and helping the carer to cook a meal
  • Providing practical support to allow the carer to spend quality time with their loved one

We offer a competitive hourly rate of £10.01 per hour, making this a rewarding and financially sustainable opportunity.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must be able to confidently use a smartphone and apps, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will also need to be comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
