Job Title: Registered Mental Health Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team at a leading psychiatric hospital in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality care to individuals with complex mental health needs.

The successful candidate will have a current active NMC Pin and a strong understanding of the mental health Act. You will be responsible for developing therapeutic relationships, providing a high standard of care, and contributing to patient assessments and care plans.

Key duties include:

  • Providing person-centred care to individuals with learning disability and personality disorder
  • Developing and maintaining therapeutic relationships to optimise patient engagement
  • Following all codes of conduct, standards, and legislation, respecting the rights of others and promoting ethical practice
  • Contributing to patient assessments, compiling a plan of care alongside the individual, and monitoring patient progress
  • Accepting personal and shared responsibility for the maintenance of quality nursing care, for all patients as part of a multidisciplinary team approach within a forensic setting
  • Working as a Primary Nurse/Care Coordinator for an identified group of patients whilst consistently working within the clinical governance framework

The ideal candidate will have experience of working with people with complex mental health problems, knowledge of the mental health Act, and excellent organisational capability. We offer a competitive annual salary of £38,596 per annum DOE, as well as a range of benefits including a £3,000 Welcome Bonus, enhanced maternity pay, and access to development opportunities.
