We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Design Engineer to drive our design initiatives forward. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in leading design projects from concept to completion, working independently to develop bespoke solutions that meet customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead Design Projects: Manage design projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality designs.
  • Autonomous Problem-Solving: Proactively identify challenges and implement effective solutions to drive project success.
  • Mentoring Team Members: Provide guidance and mentorship to design team members, fostering collaboration and continuous learning.
  • Streamlining Design Processes: Evaluate current design processes and identify areas for improvement, implementing streamlined workflows to enhance efficiency and reduce project lead times.
  • Encouraging Continuous Improvement: Foster an environment of innovation by encouraging team members to suggest enhancements in design, processes, and manufacturing techniques.
  • Ensuring Compliance with Standards: Ensure all designs adhere to Vehicle Certification Agency (VCA) standards, maintaining excellence in quality and safety.
  • Managing Documentation: Create and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs), Product Data Management (PDM) systems, and other essential documentation to support streamlined operations.
Requirements:
  • 3rd level qualification in an engineering-related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Design Engineering role, with a proven track record of working autonomously.
  • Strong organisational and project management abilities to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
