Spire Healthcare - Bank Catering Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused individual to join our catering team on a bank basis at Spire Southampton Hospital.

About the Role:
  • This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to work in a dynamic environment, assisting with food preparation, presentation, and service to patients, consultants, and staff.
  • The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a catering role, possess excellent communication skills, and be able to establish rapport with all customers.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with food preparation, presentation, and service to specified standards.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, consultants, visitors, and staff.
  • Maintain accurate stock control through rotation, date checking, and packaging integrity.
  • Comply with health and safety procedures in accordance with current legislation.
  • Contribute to general cleaning and washing-up duties associated with a large commercial kitchen.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a catering role.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to establish rapport with all customers.
  • A committed approach to providing great customer service.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Basic food hygiene certificate and awareness of Health & Safety at Work is desirable.
Benefits:

Salary:

An estimated salary of £20,000-£25,000 per annum based on location and industry standards.
