Teaching Assistant Role in Primary Education

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our school's dynamic team on a full-time basis. This is a permanent HLTA position starting in September 2024. The successful HLTA will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school, working closely with teachers to deliver engaging and effective lessons.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting class teachers in the delivery of high-quality lessons, promoting a positive learning environment, and managing classroom behaviour.
  • Leading small group interventions and providing one-on-one support to students as needed, assisting in the planning and preparation of learning activities.
  • Contributing to the assessment and tracking of student progress, covering classes in the absence of the teacher when required.

About You:

  • HLTA qualification or equivalent experience, previous experience working in a primary school setting.
  • Strong understanding of the primary curriculum, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Passionate about supporting student learning and development, with a commitment to work-life balance and professional development opportunities.
