As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role in achieving this goal by leading our multidisciplinary therapy team in West Yorkshire.

Job Description

The successful candidate will have a clinical caseload, where they will work with residents, their loved ones, and professionals to develop and deliver person-centred occupational therapy interventions. They will also supervise junior therapists or therapy assistants to ensure delivery of evidence-based, high-quality therapy and rehabilitation.

  • Develop and maintain accurate records for people receiving occupational therapies.
  • Promote choice, dignity, and independence for our residents through effective collaboration with the therapy team and stakeholders.

You will work closely with the physiotherapist, therapy assistant, and activities coordinators to provide comprehensive care to our residents.

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A thorough understanding of occupational therapy best practice and the ability to demonstrate an excellent range of occupational therapy interventions and treatments.
  • A kind and caring approach, positive attitude, and lots of enthusiasm to encourage and motivate others.
  • Creative thinking and sound organisational skills to manage your workload efficiently.
  • Great listening and communication skills to effectively collaborate with the therapy team and stakeholders.
