Job Title: Principal Process Safety Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Principal Process Safety Engineer to join our team at AtkinsRéalis. As a key member of our Systems Design team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of our clients' projects.

About the Role:

This is a dynamic and challenging role that requires a strong understanding of process safety principles and regulations. You will be responsible for leading process safety-related project issues, supervising and guiding the delivery of high-quality technical safety activities, and providing assistance on proposals and bids for future projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead multidiscipline hazard workshops, including HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, bowtie analysis, ALARP demonstration, and inherent safety assessment.
  • Conduct consequence analysis to establish the severity of hazards, including fire, toxics, and explosion in risk assessments.
  • Perform DSEAR risk assessment.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have prior experience in performing and supervising process safety activities, including:

  • Process safety engineering and risk assessment.
  • HAZID, HAZOP, and LOPA analysis.
  • DSEAR risk assessment.

You will also need to have a strong understanding of relevant legislation and codes of practice, including COMAH, DSEAR, PE(S)R, ATEX, and applicable codes and standards.
