Exhibition Coordinator Job Description:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Museum Curator Position to oversee the curation and execution of annual exhibitions at the National Eisteddfod.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Curate and run Y Lle Celf exhibitions annually
  • Facilitate the work of the Selectors for the Open Exhibition and Architecture Exhibition
  • Coordinate with successful artists and architects to gather information required for exhibitions
  • Work with Y Lle Celf 'Couriers' and artists to arrange transportation of artworks
  • Plan, prepare, and install Y Lle Celf Exhibitions annually
  • Advise on exhibition design, prepare work at the Eisteddfod Storage, select audiovisual equipment, and materials for exhibiting work
  • Develop accessibility, diversity, and inclusivity of the Lle Celf Exhibition

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in the English language
  • Experience working in the Visual Arts
  • Experience in curating visual artwork in professional galleries
  • Ability to work as a freelancer and collaborate with a team
  • A flexible approach to work and adaptability to changing workloads

Salary Information:

£12,000 per year based on a flexible hours work pattern. The position is freelance-based but requires collaboration with the Eisteddfod team during mid-July/early August. Location: Working from home with occasional on-site work at the Eisteddfod.
