About the Role

BAM Nuttall is seeking a highly experienced Project Manager to join our team at Devonport Royal Dockyard in Plymouth. As the preferred contractor for heavy civil engineering construction, we are looking for an individual who can lead our projects with expertise and professionalism.

Job Overview

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for managing large-scale construction projects from start to finish.
  • This role requires excellent leadership skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including engineers, architects, and contractors.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead project teams to deliver high-quality construction projects on time and within budget.
  2. Develop and implement effective project management strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.
  3. Maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  4. Manage project risks, identifying potential issues and developing mitigation strategies to minimize their impact.
  5. Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Proven experience in heavy civil engineering construction project management, preferably in a similar role at BAM Nuttall.
  • Degree in a relevant field such as construction management, civil engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
