We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Secondary PRU Teacher to join our team at a Pupil Referral Unit in Cardiff. The successful candidate will have experience in working with pupils with challenging behaviour and a commitment to inclusive education.

The school caters for learners with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties (SEBD) and offers a supportive environment for students to thrive. As a PRU Teacher, you will be responsible for leading classroom activities, monitoring progress, and working closely with pupils to achieve their learning goals.

We offer a consultative relationship with a dedicated consultant, access to our CPD Academy, and paid to scale salaries. If you are a flexible, empathetic, and patient educator who is passionate about working with neurodiverse students, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading classroom activities, including planning, teaching, and assessing learning.
  • Monitoring and recording progress, both academically and against EHCP outcomes.
  • Working closely with pupils to keep them engaged, motivated, and inspired to reach their full potential.
  • Collaborating with Teaching Assistants to direct them to effectively support the pupils.

Requirements:

  • A commitment to inclusive education and a passion for working with neurodiverse students.
  • Experience in creating individualized learning plans and supporting students with a range of needs.
  • A flexible, empathetic, and patient approach to teaching.
