About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled SEN Support Specialist to join our team at a well-regarded secondary school in Clapham. The successful candidate will have a focus on speech and language support and will work with students who require additional assistance to engage in classroom activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide tailored one-to-one and small group support to students with speech and language needs, ensuring they can fully participate in classroom activities.
  • Collaborate with speech and language therapists to adapt strategies and reinforce progress in the classroom.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers, therapists, and the SENCO to refine individualized support plans.
  • Foster students' confidence and social skills through positive interactions, encouraging communication in both academic and social settings.

Requirements
  • Desirable experience in speech and language support, either in an educational or clinical setting.
  • Strong communication skills, patience, and a compassionate approach to student support.
  • Up-to-date DBS check required.
