Data Governance Manager Opportunity

At Mirai Talent, we're seeking a seasoned Data Governance Manager to drive data integrity and compliance across our dynamic organisation. This pivotal role demands a passionate advocate who can collaborate with various teams, shaping data governance practices and ensuring data quality, security, and regulatory compliance.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Develop and Implement Data Governance Frameworks: Design and refine data governance frameworks, policies, procedures, and standards in line with industry benchmarks like DAMA-DMBOK.
  • Advocate for Data Governance: Foster a culture of accountability and compliance across departments, ensuring data governance is ingrained in our organisation's fabric.
  • Implement MDM and Data Cataloging Tools: Manage the implementation and maintenance of Master Data Management tools and data cataloging solutions to ensure the control and quality of master data.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with IT, legal, compliance, and business teams to establish data standards and ensure consistent policy application.
  • Establish Data Quality Metrics: Develop and monitor data quality rules, guidelines, and metrics, leveraging tools to enhance data quality.
  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Monitor adherence to data privacy regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA, addressing data management, privacy, and security concerns.
  • Lead Data Governance Projects: Manage data governance projects from initiation to completion, automating workflows and improving data stewardship.
  • Develop Training Programs: Design and deliver data governance training programs to ensure staff understand data governance best practices and compliance requirements.

  • Industry Knowledge: Background in the London Market Insurance sector is advantageous.
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
