About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sustainability Consultant / Building Physics Engineer to join our team in Manchester. As a key member of our building services consultancy, you will play a crucial role in developing sustainable urban and building design solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Deliver environmental and sustainability advice on projects for both internal and external clients, framing client briefs in terms of environmental and sustainable aspirations.
  2. Consult on environmental design, sustainable strategies, healthy buildings, passive building design, performance modelling and optimisation, and the circular economy.
  3. Underpin recommendations with sound analysis, including building physics, and coordinate recommendations with building services engineering concepts.
  4. Act as project manager for the environmental design scope, taking responsibility for successful project delivery, including client management, communication, and technical reporting.
  5. Assist in business development and winning new project work, leveraging your expertise in sustainable and environmental design.
Requirements
  1. Numerate degree in engineering, architecture, or a similar field.
  2. Track record of successfully coordinating and delivering sustainable and environmental design scope on projects.
  3. Ability to work with minimal supervision, prioritise, and think strategically about timing and delivery.
  4. Strong writing skills for producing written reports and effective analytical and IT skills to develop new assessment methods.
  5. Engaging and negotiating with senior management and peers on projects.
