Academic Mentor Opportunity

EdEx – Education Recruitment is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Academic Mentor to join our client's outstanding secondary school in Hackney. As an Academic Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting class teachers and contributing to the academic development of students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with subject teachers to enhance student learning and achievement.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of lessons, ensuring a high-quality learning experience.
  • Provide individualized support to students, addressing their specific needs and abilities.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive school culture.
Requirements:
  • Hold a 1st Class or 2:1 Degree from a reputable University.
  • Aspiring Primary or Secondary Teacher with a strong passion for education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Confidence and a willingness to go above and beyond to support students' academic growth.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
What We Offer:
  • A competitive daily rate of £105-£110 (Term Time Only).
  • The opportunity to train as a teacher in your chosen subject from September 2025.
