About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Service Desk Analyst to join our Service Delivery team in Informatics and Digital Solutions at the Wellcome Sanger Institute. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering prompt and efficient first-line technical support to staff and external clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Resolve IT-related issues swiftly, minimising downtime and ensuring seamless operations
  • Provide technical support to staff and external clients via phone, email, and in-person
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify and resolve technical issues
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of IT systems, software, and hardware
  • Escalate complex issues to senior technical staff as needed
Requirements
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to understand and accurately diagnose technical issues
  • Sound judgment in prioritising incidents and escalating issues as needed
  • Working knowledge of Windows and/or Apple Mac operating systems
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
