About the Role:
As a Refrigeration Systems Educator, you will play a pivotal role within our training team. Your duties will encompass delivering both theoretical training modules and supervising hands-on training in the Marine Mechanical Refrigeration sector. No prior teaching experience is required, as our dedicated Trainer Development Team will provide comprehensive on-site training to equip you with the necessary skills for effective training delivery. You will also work towards obtaining a Level 4 teaching qualification while utilizing your engineering expertise and passion.

On a daily basis, your responsibilities will include instructing on theoretical and practical mechanical refrigeration engineering methods, intricate system operations, maintenance procedures, diagnostics, and repair techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and enhance training documentation as directed and assist colleagues as necessary
  • Evaluate trainee coursework and provide constructive feedback on performance
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of trainees during training sessions
  • Conduct maintenance of training equipment at the user level, supported by relevant qualifications and experience
This full-time position requires a commitment of 37 hours per week and is based at our Gosport site.

Essential Experience:
  • Proven background in mechanical engineering
  • Confidence in delivering training to groups, teaching experience is not a prerequisite
  • Proficient in computer usage and willing to enhance knowledge for training support technologies
Qualifications:
  • Minimum Level 3 NVQ/C&G in a relevant Engineering discipline
  • Cat 1 Refrigeration Certificate is a plus
Security Clearance:
The selected candidate must be able to obtain and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance.
