About this role


Our client, a subsidiary of a large Japanese bank, is seeking a Customer Due Diligence Specialist to join their team. As a key member of the Compliance department, you will be responsible for conducting thorough due diligence reviews to ensure the integrity of client relationships.


Main Responsibilities



  • Conduct comprehensive due diligence reviews on new and existing clients, including KYC screening and ongoing monitoring
  • Collaborate with the Front Office to ensure effective account setup and management, and address any queries or concerns
  • Provide support to the Compliance department in reviewing adverse media and sanction cases
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including the Front Office and Compliance teams
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements and industry developments to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations

Requirements



  • Educated to degree level or above, preferably with a background in finance, law, or a related field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel, and familiar with KYC screening tools
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
