About the Role:
The successful candidate will have a strong academic background in geography and teaching experience. As a marking specialist, you will be responsible for evaluating student responses against pre-defined criteria. This role requires a high level of subject knowledge and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
* Evaluate student responses accurately and consistently to ensure overall standards are maintained.
* Submit samples to your Team Leader at designated times.
* Meet milestones for marking and ensure all administration is completed as specified.
Requirements:
* A degree or equivalent in a relevant subject.
* One academic year's worth of teaching experience within the last 8 years in the relevant qualification subject since qualifying as a teacher.
* Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
Additional Information:
The marking period is between May and July. The training required to mark as an examiner will take place between May and June.
