Director of Clinical Education

Widener University is seeking a highly qualified Director of Clinical Education to join our Institute for Physician Assistant Education in the College of Health and Human Services. This is a 12-month, full-time, non-tenure track position with an administrative role in the program.
Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain external contracts for clinical rotation sites
- Manage student rotation assignments
- Complete rotation visits
- Assist the Program Director in managing clinical instructional faculty
- Ensure compliance with accreditation standards
- Teach clinical and didactic courses
- Participate in curriculum development
- Engage in scholarly/clinical work
- Conduct applied research
- Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited college or university
- Licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, or eligibility to apply, as a Physician Assistant
- Minimum 5 years clinical experience as a PA
- Minimum 3 years teaching and/or clinical supervision
- Experience teaching and providing clinical supervision to PA students in an academic setting
- Experience with ARC-PA accreditation
- Ability to sit, stand, and move about a classroom and/or campus for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift supplies of up to 20lbs per item
