Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team at Empowering Learning Ltd. As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs in our primary and secondary schools in Greenwich.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with physical needs, including personal care, hygiene, and feeding
  • Assist with therapy sessions to help students reach their full potential
  • Promote an inclusive learning environment and support students with autism, PMLD, and physical disabilities
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans

Requirements:

  • Experience working with students with SEND, particularly autism and PMLD
  • Knowledge of manual handling, hoisting, PEG feeding, and Tube feeding
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
