Job Overview

Secondary SEND Teacher Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate educator to join our team as a Secondary SEND Teacher

Main Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver lessons that cater to the diverse needs of SEND students.
  • Support students in achieving their academic and personal goals.
  • Manage challenging behaviors and maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants and other staff members to ensure seamless support for students.
  • Collect and record evidence of student progress to inform assessments.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
  • Excellent behavior management skills and a commitment to creating a positive learning environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
  • Desirable: holding relevant qualifications and experience in teaching positions within schools.
