About the Opportunity

This exciting role offers a unique chance to work as an Art and Design Technology Teacher at CV-Library. Our ideal candidate will have experience teaching children with SEMH, delivering engaging learning experiences across the curriculum.

Key Accountabilities
  • Develop and implement effective short-term planning to meet curriculum requirements.
  • Provide exceptional pastoral care to children in your class, ensuring their emotional and academic well-being.
  • Organize and lead educational visits, prioritizing student safety and engagement.
  • Establish a supportive classroom environment that fosters creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration.
  • Nurture relationships between families, staff, and children, promoting a sense of community and shared responsibility.
  • Communicate effectively with families, keeping them informed about child progress and development.
  • Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom atmosphere, adhering to school behavior policies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum plans, assessments, and reporting procedures.
  • Contribute to the efficient operation of the school through administrative tasks and teamwork.
  • Pursue ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices in education and SEMH support.
Requirements
  • Holding QTS or equivalent teacher training, with NQT/ECT Induction completion (essential).
  • A strong academic background, with a good first degree in a core subject (essential).
  • Proven experience in teaching primary curriculum or secondary subject areas to children with SEMH (essential).
  • Desirable: further training or qualifications related to SEMH/SEN.
