We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Support Worker to join our Special School Nursing (SSN) Team at Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to children and young people with complex health conditions and SEN.

The successful candidate will have recent experience of working with children and people with learning disabilities. They will be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

About the Role
  • Job Summary: To assist qualified staff in the provision of nursing care, including health promotion, as detailed in individual care plans.
  • Main Duties:
    • To participate in the performing of appropriate tasks necessary to meet the needs of the ward/unit.
    • To assist service users outside the unit/ward/community environment to establish and maintain social contacts.
    • To undertake tasks that facilitate the smooth running of the unit/ward/community setting as directed by qualified staff.
