Key Responsibilities- Lead the transition from a relational database to a modern data warehousing stack, leveraging cutting-edge technologies to drive business growth.
- Improve the speed and efficiency of our product data pipeline, ensuring seamless data processing and analysis.
- Manage vast quantities of fleet operational data using modern big data practices, driving business insights and decision-making.
- Create autonomous, data-driven workflows using cloud infrastructure, enabling scalable and efficient data processing.
- Collaborate with our DevOps team for agile development and customer onboarding, ensuring seamless integration and deployment.
- Assist our Analytics team with big data challenges, providing expert guidance and support.
- Promote data management best practices and standards across the organization, ensuring data quality and integrity.
- Background in STEM, Computer Science, or a related field, with work experience or equivalent expertise.
- Extensive experience with Databricks or similar modern data stack providers, with a strong understanding of big data technologies.
- Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka, with a focus on data processing and analysis.
- Proficient in Python, SQL, and cloud-based data processing, with a strong understanding of data management principles.
- Knowledge of CI/CD practices, Git, and cloud services for scalable compute, with a focus on automation and efficiency.
- Experience in the logistics or vehicle industry, with a strong understanding of data-driven business insights.
- Familiarity with AWS services (S3, Redshift, Lambda, Glue, etc.), with a focus on cloud-based data processing.
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs and experience working with timeseries/geographic data, with a focus on data integration and analysis.
