Pressure Equipment Specialist

We provide pre-commissioning inspection services for pressure equipment and dangerous goods tanks across customer sites. As a Pressure Equipment Specialist, you will be responsible for providing expert advice to ensure quality and compliance with regulations.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Inspecting in-service dangerous goods tanks and pressure equipment to establish fit-for-purpose or ensure quality of modifications and repairs
- Reviewing quality documentation relating to materials, welding, and non-destructive testing for newly constructed and repaired/modified equipment
- Working closely with our Technical Consultancy Head Office team to communicate technical and commercial information effectively, manage contracts appropriately, and detail billable time
- Managing and delivering specific projects, as well as assisting with the training of Engineer Surveyors
- Carrying out detailed reporting with no compromise
- Ensuring all customers are compliant with vital regulations governing their industry in the UK
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, develop your expertise, and contribute to the success of our team. To be considered for this position, you should have:
- A Level 4 engineering qualification and significant practical experience, alongside an understanding of the pressure equipment directive
- An understanding of pressure equipment (PED / PE(S)R)
- Experience of carriage of dangerous goods (CDG / ADR)
- Considerable experience inspecting new or repaired/modified construction pressure equipment and dangerous goods tanks within a manufacturing, pharma, nuclear, shipping, or other relevant environment
- Experience and knowledge of welding processes and procedures, weld inspection, and weld defects
- The ability to communicate complex and technical problems with ease
- A proficient level of IT and literacy skills to complete detailed customer reports
