We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Medical Secretary to join our team at Oxford Health NHS Trust. As a Medical Secretary, you will play a vital role in supporting the ward consultant and nursing team in managing patient care and administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Receive and respond to telephone calls in a confidential and sensitive manner
- Support with developing rosters for the nursing team
- Record minutes at departmental meetings
- Manage the ward consultant's diary and dates for Mental Health Act administration
- Ensure timely entry of client-related documentation onto databases
- Process patient referrals and discharges from the team
- Experience in an administrative role, preferably in a healthcare or social care setting
- Ability to use Microsoft products, such as Excel
- Willingness to learn and understand the Mental Health Act
