About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Practitioner to join our dynamic team at the Waterview Centre, a specialist personality disorder service serving the boroughs of Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster.

As a Senior Clinical Practitioner, you will play a key role in providing high-quality therapeutic services to individuals with complex mental health needs, including those with severe personality disorder. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based interventions, such as Mentalization Based Treatment (MBT) and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT).

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients to identify specific personality traits and develop tailored treatment plans.
  • Facilitate and co-facilitate therapy groups, including MBT and DBT, to promote emotional regulation and improve relationships.
  • Act as Lead Professional for a caseload of service users, establishing and maintaining long-term supportive relationships.
  • Conduct joint home visits and initiate safeguarding alerts as clinically indicated.
  • Work with service users in individual and group sessions, managing risk and maintaining a safe and therapeutically sensitive environment.
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Relevant core professional qualification and registration (Nursing, Occupational therapy, Social work, Psychology, Psychotherapy).
  • Training/knowledge of therapies relevant to Personality Disorder, MBT, and/or DBT, and application to practice.
  • Post-qualification experience in mental health, including managing a caseload under Lead Professional Care.
  • Experience of working therapeutically with people with personality disorder, conducting assessments, and compiling reports.
  • Ability and experience in risk assessment and crisis management.
